Hi, I'm Savitri!

I have been passionate about doula work and infant care for many years. I studied psychology in college and focused my studies specifically on perinatal mental health. My interest soon led me to work with organizations such as, Perinatal Support Washington and Open Arms Perinatal Services to improve postpartum support. Currently, I am a lead infant teacher at The Growing Tree Playcare and Preschool and I absolutely love working with families!

I believe in having a non-judgmental and gentle attitude when it comes to working with families. You are the expert of yourself and your needs and I am there to lend a helping hand. I want to provide love and support, as well as a shoulder to lean on as you navigate the twists and turns of parenthood.

I am located in North Seattle

What is a postpartum doula?

A postpartum doula offers holistic care for the whole family after childbirth. They provide the family with education on infant care, recovery after birth, and coping skills. Additionally, they offer emotional and physical support as you navigate postpartum.

What does a postpartum doula not do?

A postpartum doula does not provide medical advice nor do they perform clinical tasks. A postpartum doula should not provide biased information; rather, they are there to uplift your decisions while providing evidence based information.

Planning on enrolling your child in daycare down the line? I offer an additional service of  preparing parents for daycare. To learn more about this service:
