Do you want support, love, and reassurance during postpartum?

Hi, I'm Savitri!

I have been passionate about doula work and infant care for many years. With a background in psychology, I focused my college studies on perinatal mental health. This interest led me to work with organizations like Perinatal Support Washington and Open Arms Perinatal Services, where I contributed to enhancing postpartum support. Recently, I transitioned from being an Infant Teacher to joining Seattle Doulas.

I believe in approaching families with a non-judgmental attitude. You are the expert on yourself and your needs and I am here to lend a helping hand. My goal is to provide love and support with a shoulder to lean on as you navigate the challenges of parenthood.

I am based in North Seattle.

What is a postpartum doula?

A postpartum doula offers holistic care for the whole family after childbirth. They provide the family with education on infant care, recovery after birth, and coping skills. Additionally, they offer emotional and physical support as you navigate postpartum.

What responsibilities does a postpartum doula not have?

A postpartum doula does not provide medical advice nor do they perform clinical tasks. A postpartum doula should not provide biased information; rather, they are there to uplift your decisions while providing evidence based information.

Insights

"The human soul doesn't want to be advised or fixed or saved. It simply wants to be witnessed exactly as it is."
